Friends and Relations
Another in the
seemingly-endless list of Hawkwind compilations, this disc contains a mix of
live and studio tracks from the group’s late ‘70s and early ’80s output. Technically, only two of the eight tracks are
from Hawkwind themselves. The remainder
include selections from Hawklords (the tribute/alternative lineup which
features original bandmates Dave Brock and Bob Calvert), Michael Moorcock’s Deep
Fix, the Sonic Assassins, and Inner City Unit.
Packaged inside is a foldout poster with a photo of Brock & Co. This disc makes up part a larger series from
Flicknife Records, the other pieces including: Space Ritual Sundown v.2,
Hawkwind Zones and This is Hawkwind – Do Not Panic.
